Fees and Insurance
How much does an RMT appointment cost in North Vancouver?
Fees
| 30 minutes | 45 minutes | 60 minutes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initial visit | — | $150 | $190 |
| Subsequent visits | $105 | $150 | $190 |
Sixty minutes is recommended for a first visit. The assessment takes time — history, movement testing, joint and muscle examination — and a 60-minute booking leaves room for treatment in the same session rather than a second appointment. Forty-five minutes is workable if that's what your schedule allows.

Extended health insurance
Most BC extended health plans cover Registered Massage Therapy. Eva Andersson is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia, so treatments are eligible under plans that include RMT coverage.
You pay at the time of your appointment and receive an official RMT receipt to submit to your provider for reimbursement.
Coverage amounts, per-visit limits and annual maximums vary between plans. Check with your provider for the specifics of yours.
ICBC, WorkSafeBC, RCMP and MSP-exempt programs
Please call (604) 926-4883 rather than booking online. These programs each have their own intake requirements, and booking online skips the step that makes sure your claim is set up correctly.
Registered Massage Therapy is an accepted treatment under ICBC claims following a motor vehicle accident, commonly for whiplash, post-accident neck and back pain, and soft-tissue injury recovery. No referral is needed to become eligible for coverage.
The clinic does not bill ICBC directly. You pay at the time of your appointment and receive an official RMT receipt to submit to ICBC as part of your claim — the same process as extended health. Worth knowing in advance so the first invoice isn't a surprise.
Do you need a referral?
No. In British Columbia you can book directly with a Registered Massage Therapist without a doctor's referral.
Some extended health plans require a physician's note for reimbursement even though the appointment itself doesn't need one. That's a condition of your insurance rather than of the treatment, so it's worth checking your plan before your first visit.
Cancellations
Twenty-four hours' notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Later changes are subject to the full session fee.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the assessment charged separately?
No. The assessment is part of your first appointment, not an additional fee. A 60-minute initial visit covers the history, the examination and treatment based on what's found.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what the examination finds. Some acute problems settle in two or three sessions; patterns built up over years take longer. You'll get a realistic estimate after the assessment rather than a package sold upfront.
Do you offer packages or prepaid blocks?
No. Sessions are booked and paid for individually, so the number of visits follows what you actually need.
What if my plan covers less than the full fee?
You pay the full fee at the appointment and submit the receipt to your provider, who reimburses at whatever rate your plan allows. The difference is yours.
